IMPORTANT INFO & TIPS- Train we availed- Haldibari express from Kolkata stn -9:05am & reached Rampurhat stn @ 12noon. Train fare- Rs.210 non/ac & Rs. 450 for AC chair car From Rampurhat to Kolkata- Haldibari Express- It’s a tri-weekly train available every Sun/Wed/Fri at 15:50 from Rampurhat station Rampurhat Stn to Hotel/Tarapith Auto fare- Rs.40 per person (8-9km distance takes about 20-25 mins) Toto fare from hotel to temple- Rs. 10 per head Toto fare to Bama khepa bari sight seeing – Rs. 30 per head Food expenses are pretty reasonable. If you wanna save money then look out for the roadside AC restaurants they are pretty reasonable as compared to hotel food charges. Almost 30-50 Rs. Cheaper. You will get veg meal starting @ Rs.50/60 which is pretty great you see. Most important thing- we had fixed a panda for offering puja at the temple. He charged us Rs. 2k for 8 ppl puja…this is just in case you don’t wanna stand in the long queue. The pandas charge more but you need to bargain with them. If you wanna shop at the marketplace do bargain or else you will end up spending more.
