Modi govt's cabinet reshuffle to take place soon; Is this a political exercise? | The Urban Debate

In this episode of The Urban Debate, Tanvi Shukla discusses the latest developments related to the cabinet reshuffle are concerned. The Modi government has been holding several meetings in order to decide upon the candidates after the cabinet reshuffle will take place. The countdown for the cabinet reshuffle has already begun and the final rejig is likely to happen on July 8th. While all the eyes are now on the cabinet rejig that is expected to take place, ministers from different allies of the BJP are now flying to Delhi to hold meetings with the union leaders. A list of new governors was released earlier today and leaders from LJP, JD(U) have also been coming to Delhi to meet JP Nadda and other party chiefs. It is also being reported that young blood and new faces can be expected in the Modi government and several ministers will also be holding multiple portfolios. I think in UP there is some problem within the party. The BJP is working on a new narrative that is a mixture of nationalism, religious and development issues, says Professor Manindra Thakur.
