Mass Effect 3: Voice Acting Comparison

The following video is relatively spoiler-free, but does contain some scenes that are potential spoilers. I would like to add that this is not a win/lose contest! Look at each segment/VA and try to analyze. What did one actor do here? Why? If you did not know the context of the situation, and could not see the screen, could you name the emotions of Shepard just by listening? What are they? Context Notes: 4:31 - At this point in the game, Shepard has called 'Legion' (who is not, in fact, Legion), Legion, for about the fourth time. Each time, 'Legion' has corrected Shepard by saying 'We are not Legion.' 13:26 - Prior to the following scenes, Shepard had been fighting hordes of enemies only to get literally blasted by Harbinger's laser. Near death, Shepard fought his/her way to the Citadel and then engaged TIM in a battle of wills. So, we are to assume, at this point (after passing out briefly as well), that Shepard is exhausted mentally and physically. For this video, I wanted to show the comprehensive personality that is Commander Shepard. I included clips and significant moments that would showcase the Commander's physical and emotional states, from exhausted to embarrassed. I once again recommend that any player interested in having a complete experience, play both genders. They are so incredibly different and each offers a unique playthrough. *Spoiler*: I wanted to include Thane's death scene because of the emotional factors surrounding it. It is the first significant death in the game, and while the words are slightly different for male/female, the intention and emotion remains the same. The words are not necessarily the most important factor; how the words are delivered take precedence. For the end, I included extra clips that were other high emotional points. I've noticed that Meer tends to excel at intense moments where he can deliver an extreme emotion/personality; he tends to utilize dynamics to portray such different emotions. Hale is excellent at subtlety and it is obvious she is a seasoned voice actor. I was truly impressed with her work. If you've read this far, I hope you enjoy the video! Please keep the flaming to a minimum, for criminy's sake!
