Fabulous rooftop garden created on the banks of the River Thames in central London

Enjoy the aerial footage of a magnificent rooftop garden on the bank of the River Thames, in Central London planted by Pritchard & Pritchard. The rooftop oasis is an exclusive retreat for the workers from the offices below. The 650 square metre space is brought to life by the atmospheric planting. The plants are perfectly suited to the environmental conditions, while providing visual and sensory appeal. Plants include the fragrant climber Trachelospermum jasminoides and shrub Pittosporum 'Tom Thumb'. The aromatic herbs and perennials include Lavandula angustifolia, Perovskia atriplicifolia, Heuchera ‘Forever Purple’, Gaura lindheimeri, Thymus vulgaris and Cyclamen hederifolium. In all, there are 1,100 plants planted in 42 elegant Cor-Ten Steel planters. The planters contain 72 cubic metres of lightweight growing medium sitting atop a ZinCo green-roof system.
