Delivering Lifesaving Services in South Sudan

Women and children in South Sudan have significant challenges when it comes to accessing maternal and child health services. Jonglei is one of the states in South Sudan with most challenges, the conditions are dire, and the needs are increasing. In 2020, CRS secured funding from USAID to implement Health, Nutrition, and WASH programming in Greater Jonglei, through 10 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs). These Mobile Medical Units provided primary health care, maternal health care, and community health services, which fall under the Boma Health Initiative.
