Showtime's parachute is random

If you thought the parachute depended on your timing... I mean it would make sense, right? But apparently, it's completely random. In this video, I have Showtime being played in both it's normal form and with the cellanim changed (for some reason, even a detail like that influences the RNG in this game). This is TAS, timed exactly on the beat, same inputs for both versions. Yet, not every hit has a parachute, and both playthroughs gave different results. The big penguins don't have a parachute animation, so they never get one. And the applause from the audience only happens when there's no parachute, as you can see. A similar situation is with how the golfballs in Hole in One enter the hole. Those are also completely random. Yup, 'tis filler.
