Today, we reflect on the emptiness that addiction tries to fill. Sometimes what we call “addiction” begins as a deep ache inside, a longing to feel seen, loved, or whole. It might be a wound from the past, a need for comfort, or a way to escape pain. But no matter how much we try to fill that emptiness with things of the world, it never truly satisfies. Only God can fill that space. Only His love can bring peace to the restless heart. So today, instead of hiding our emptiness, we bring it to Him. We let Mary, our Mother, hold us and guide us toward the healing love of her Son. Our prayer today is simple: Jesus, fill the empty places in our hearts with Your love. Mary, help us trust that God alone can satisfy our soul.
