Learn how to play "We're Going To Be Friends" by The White Stripes. This is one of the easiest fingerstyle songs on guitar. It's an easy 3-chord song with a 2-finger pattern that repeats the whole time. The bridge has 1 extra chord, but it's SUPER easy, just like the others. You could almost play this song with 1 finger on each hand, it's THAT simple! ► "Fingerpicking Mastery" covers everything from the most basic motions to the most useful fingerstyle patterns on guitar: https://goodguitarist.com/fingerpicki... ► Grab your copy of my FREE E-BOOK! https://goodguitarist.com/learn-rhyth... ► Need help with the basic chords and strumming? There aren't too many chords in this one, it's mostly G C and D, with a Cadd9 (even though the symbol looks crazy, it's actually a really simple fingering) and an A chord to top it off. We go over some switching tips to help you get a clean sound, and then move onto the fingerpicking. It was actually really interested for me, coming up with a way to explain this pattern. It mainly uses the thumb and 1 finger, and throughout the song the pattern varies so there's a lot of room for experimentation. I recommend using the patterns from this video, and once your comfortable I really encourage you to experiment with switching it up a bit and focusing on "feeling it" rather than playing it perfectly every time. Since the chords and pattern are so simple, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to actually enjoy yourself and get lost in the tune! I hope you have fun practicing this and good luck!
