Review: The Legacy of Charles Munch

This box, from Decca Eloquence, is a real collectors's item. It contains recordings that largely precede and post-date Munch's Boston Symphony tenure, some of which (Henry Barraud's Symphony No. 3, Haydn's Sinfonia concertante, a bunch of Roussel pieces, or Respighi's Pines and Fountains of Rome) are unique to his commercial discography. It's great to see all of this material gathered together in one convenient and comprehensive collection.
