The Time When Geralt Joined The Wild Hunt

In the witcher 2, it was revealed that Geralt had joined the wild hunt in the past, in an attempt to save the one who he loved. But what did Geralt do while he was with the hunt? Did he fight for them or was he just a prisoner to lure in Ciri? If you have suggestions for other characters or places leave it in the comments. The Witcher games are truly an amazing experience, I can't wait till CD Projekt Red continues their games in this world.
