Knoxville Auto Shop Fire

A wood burning stove caused a structure fire in Knoxville Estates just off of Main Street Wednesday night east of town, which saw a quick response from emergency crews and no injuries. Knoxville Township Fire Chief Kenny Thompson says Knoxville Township, Knoxville Fire and Clay Township Fire Departments, along with the Knoxville Police Department, Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson and County Sheriffs Deputies all responded to the fire, which occurred in a metal-framed auto shop. James Washington, a relative of the owner of the shop, says he was pleased with the fast response time from crews.
