Easy Food Alternatives for your Medical Medium Lifestyle

Easy Food Alternatives for your Medical Medium Lifestyle

Easy food alternatives If you take out food groups to change into your medical medium lifestyle you need good alternatives to succeed. You need to know what to do. In this video I'm going to share the alternatives that are winners in my kitchen. EGGS: First, an alternative to replace eggs. If you're using eggs in your recipe; for example you're making cupcakes or pancakes you can use chickpea flour or flaxseed. Both work really well in these kind of recipes. Bear in mind that flaxseed is fat and chickpea flour isn't. So if you want to have a fat free day make sure you don't use flaxseed. Depending on the quantity you use more or less but you always dilute it with a little bit of water and make sure that is completely diluted. If you are an egg eater then it's going to be a little bit more tricky because chickpea flour simply isn't an egg. There is a really nice potato tortilla a Spanish recipe that's usually made with egg and potato. You can make that recipe and use chickpea flour instead. At the recipe videos you will find the recipe on how to make that. WHEAT If you want to replace wheat pasta then you can do a few things. You can use lentil pasta or green be pasta but you could also use a spaghetti squash. Spaghetti squash, when it comes out of the oven has the texture of pasta. Bear in mind that eating spaghetti squash is way more beneficial to your healing then eating lentil pasta simply because it's a vegetable. Alternatives for normal wheat flour that we use in a variety of recipes, are gluten free oat flour brown rice flour, cassava flour and almond flour. These flowers work amazing in combination with each other to make really delicious recipes. if you want to code something like you what you used to do with bread crumbs there are alternatives for that too. My kids love to eat cauliflower wings. I called the cauliflower wings with cassava flour and it works amazing, It is fat free and very tasty. DAIRY Then there's dairy. Dairy is butter milk, yoghurt, cheese, ice cream. to replace butter there are a few alternatives. Very mind that these alternatives are greasy and it's most beneficial for your healing to keep your fat slow. If you need butter for example in a cake that you're making, you could use coconut oil. If you are a person that likes to drink his coffee or tea with milk, know that there are great alternatives like gluten free oat milk almond milk or coconut milk available. If you're looking for these alternatives in the supermarket try to find one that is clean as I call it. That means just the plain ingredients like element water that's it. Try to avoid citric acid, natural and artificial flavours and colours, additional oils and preservatives. We don't miss ice cream in this home as we've always got some frozen bananas (and other fruits) in our fridge. If you put the frozen bananas in the food processor with some Maple syrup and some vanilla powder you've got true vanilla ice cream! make sure that you use real vanilla. No flavours or vanilla flavoured sugar. This will not serve your health. Yoghurt and cheese are two things that our hearts to replace because of their specific taste. There are different kind of plant based yoghurts out there, but they usually have a lot of additives. if you want to make cream cheese you can use cashews. Cashews are amazing for that! but bear in mind that that's very greasy which makes it harder for your body to heal. SOFTDRINKS An alternative for soft drinks in our households are hibiscus lemonade and watermelon lemonade. We also make fresh apple juice straight from the juicer and fresh squeezed orange juice. Coconut water is also favourite in this house. You can buy coconut water in the supermarket but make sure that there are no additives in there like citric acid or flavours artificial or natural doesn't matter. Make sure it's the transparent coconut order not the pink one. SOY if we're talking about soy like tofu, miso, tempeh, it is difficult to find an alternative. But soysauce actually has an amazing alternative. and that alternative is called coconut amino. I use that to make sauces an in special recipes. SUGAR A good replacement for the white beat sugar that we know is Maple syrup. We also use coconut sugar and raw honey. COFFEE AND TEA If you're ready to cut down on your coffee you can try to make a chaga latte or reishi latte. you can't really compare it to coffee but if you're off the coffee long enough then you can create the same experience but without the caffeine and with the healing properties of reishi and chaga. An alternative for the old fashioned tea bags is of course fresh herbal teas. we really like fresh licorice root tea, thyme tea, hibiscus tea and fresh peppermint tea.
