It is the hope of many spouses to bear healthy babies however did you know a couple  could  appear healthy or even rarely fall sick but give birth to a baby  who develops a life threatening condition  due to  a blood  disorder known as sickle cell  anaemia.  Well, doctors say couples could be oblivious that they are carriers of the anaemic gene. Sickle Cell is an inherited condition that affects the red blood cells in people’s bodies. Normally, red blood cell transport oxygen throughout the body, which is essential to the way our bodies work.
