Navigating the Shift to Remote Developer Environments - A Year of Insights and Challenges - Andre Marcelo-Tanner, Ada Support In the past year, the tech industry has seen a remarkable shift towards Remote Developer Environments and Platforms. This session will discuss our firsthand experiences implementing these solutions and lessons learned over the past year using new and exciting Cloud Native tools. Through our journey, we've observed that turnkey solutions have consistently been favoured over complex CLIs. While numerous developers embraced the benefits, the slightest friction or error often led to a swift return to local development. Remote development environments, despite their potential, are neither a panacea nor a one-size-fits-all solution. Maintaining a robust feedback loop with developers has allowed us to unearthed critical use cases and further standardize our development environments across our company. We'll explore our experiences, strategies, pitfalls to avoid, and how we can continue to accelerate this transformation using the many new exciting tools in this space.
