As we approach our nation’s 247th Independence Day celebration, Lehigh County Executive, Phillips Armstrong, and Allentown Mayor, Matt Tuerk, would like to invite you all to celebrate the best America has to offer, responsibly. We know nothing screams red, white and blue more than an epic fireworks show which is why we’re highlighting some of the best places to catch a show this 4th: The IronPig’s “The Great American Blast” Fireworks will be shot off from the field of Coca-Cola Park. Guests may be on the field before the show begins before taking your seats in the seating bowl by 8:45 p.m, fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. Parking is $5 per car and tickets are $8 per person to enter the ballpark; children under 2 are free. City of Allentown 4th of July Celebration The City of Allentown’s free 4th of July Celebration is at J. Birney Crum Stadium on July 4 from 5–10 p.m. The event features live music and entertainment, family fun, delicious food options and a rousing, musical fireworks show. The stadium gates open at 5 p.m. Dorney Park's Fourth of July Celebration Snoopy and the gang will be outfitted in their patriotic best at a meet-and-greet in Planet Snoopy. The night will end with fireworks at 9:30 p.m., accompanied by a soundtrack. Military personnel can get up to six discounted admissions online. Lehigh Valley Zoo's Independence Noon to 2 p.m on Tuesday, July 4. Certain exhibits will have a patriotic theme. Grins and Grins LLC will perform, and there will also be a performance by the Allentown Hobo Band, as well as themed crafts. In addition, there will be a limited number of free flags available. $16 for adults, $15 for seniors and $14 for children. There is a group rate of $13.
