Why is it hard for people to say – “I don’t know”? Be it for superiors ,Subordinates or the people of the same ranks or positions. If i ask you to notice for a day that how many times you listen or you say “I know”and” I don’t know “ You will get more “I know” 7/10 times. We are conditioned in such an environment where having and providing quick, confident answers considered as a sign of competence and leadership. We are under so much pressure to look perfect that we hide our weaknesses and vulnerabilities at any cost which blocks your personal and professional growth. I have worn Various caps in my career at various levels; I moved up faster with humility Because I openly admitted when I didn’t know the answer regardless of my position and learnt from everyone on my way that’s what made the kind of a human being I am today. The Same lesson I teach to my team members and my clients and I get positive results. ”You can’t learn if you think you already know. You will not find the answers if you’re too conceited and self-assured to ask the questions. You cannot get better if you’re convinced you are the best.” To share your weakness is to make yourself vulnerable; to make yourself vulnerable is to show your strength."Criss Jami Which means no one is perfect in everything and anyone can be wrong. This sets an example for the People you lead that It is okay not to know everything It is okay to ask for help Mistakes or failures doesn’t make you failure
