HEBREWS: WEEK 6 Text: Hebrews 2:1-4 In verse 1, What did the writer of Hebrews want his readers to pay attention to? The world we live in is constantly distracting and changing. What can we do to keep our focus on what God has for us? If we can’t drift away, why is God warning us about drifting away? If we can drift away, what does this say about our free will? We tend to give our attention to condensed versions of material rather than digging deeper for the sake of time and attention. Do you think this has an effect on how churches and congregations deliver services and messages? What are some ways we can slow down to understand the word better? Verse 3 states “how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.” What are the consequences of not paying attention to the gospel? In verse 4, what did God do to validate the gospel message?
