KH Birth By Sleep Final Mix (PS4) - Vanitas Remnant (LV1 Critical/Terra) *No Zero EXP*

Remember what I said about not doing this without Zero EXP? Yeah, I did it anyway... Not a smart choice on my part... This here was probably the hardest fight I've had to do this whole playthrough and that includes Mysterious Figure. Vanitas Remnant is very heavy on RNG, there seems to be little consistency on what attacks he does. He will also sometimes cancel his own attacks into another attack, usually teleporting behind you when he does it. His attacks will just randomly pass through your Guard and he can even teleport out of you guarding his attack. This fight is just a mess, just make an already bad boss super fast, teleport whenever and prevents you from using healing spells. I got No Damage with Ventus and Aqua so it didn't matter but good luck doing it with Terra. You have no choice but to rely on Potions since Curing makes him Cure. The main trick to this fight and the only reason I was able to even do without using Zero EXP or using the Strike Raid exploit was thanks to Ice Cream. Ice Cream is obtained by gathering ingredients from Prize Pots and they automatically fill your Command Gauge changing you into a Command Style. If your already in the Command Style it automatically gives you the Finisher. Daisy Sorbet puts you into Rhythm Mixer and takes quite a while to obtain. The key ingredient can only be obtained after getting to Lv15 in the Mirage Arena so I had to do some work to get it. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, do not do Ice Cream Beat if you intend to use Ice Cream for any fight. If you complete Dessert Paradise on Master, you will get a unique Command Style that will trigger 20% of the time when you use Ice Cream and it's pretty bad. I always do Ice Cream Beat last for this exact reason. One last thing is his DM, the attack where he surrounds himself in darkness and throws clones at you. You want to dodge early on the 2nd and 6th attack but dodge slightly later on every other attack. The individual attacks are consistent so if you know the timing on each one you can dodge it easy. * * Q: What does the title mean by "No Zero EXP"? A: In the HD version of BBS, Zero EXP was given hidden properties to buff you up to an acceptable Strength and Magic level to actually deal damage to enemies that are way stronger then you. This also happens in the HD version of KH1 but unlike in that game, this game goes way overboard and makes it actually more viable to play the game at Level 1 then Critical Mode normally. Because of this, I am removing Zero EXP on bosses to get the true Level 1 like on the PSP version.
