Sewing a Vintage Inspired Selvedge Denim Trucker Jacket

I think this jacket might be one of my favorite projects of 2025. It was inspired by vintage denim jackets from the 50s and 60s, specifically the Lee 101j and a Levis the 3. I drafted the pattern myself based off the patterns I had done for other jackets I've made. I used a dead stock selvedge denim that was woven by Cone Mills here in the states before they shut down production. I purchased it from Pacific Blue Denim who is a wholesaler out in California.
