This video by South Fayette Township shows clips driving from South Fayette Way to Pittsburgh International Airport: --Route 50 in South Fayette Township --South Fayette Way in South Fayette Township --Pennsylvania Turnpike Southern Beltway (Interstate 576 West) --Pittsburgh International Airport A 13-mile portion of the Southern Beltway (including 4 miles in South Fayette) opened Oct. 15, 2021, connecting Interstate 79 with Route 22. Traveling west, just beyond the Route 22 junction, the new beltway portion meets the 6-mile Findlay Connector, which leads to the airport (or, alternately, to I-376 toward Beaver County or Pittsburgh). Drivers pass through three toll points between South Fayette Way and the airport. Each toll is $1.30 with E-ZPass or $2.60 with cashless toll-by-plate. There is no toll when traveling in the opposite direction, between South Fayette Way and I-79. The beltway includes five interchanges: I-79, South Fayette Way, Route 22, Beech Hollow Road and McDonald-Midway. Initially, only two ramps opened in Oct. 2021 at the I-79 interchange. They carry traffic from northbound I-79 to westbound I-576 toward the airport, and from eastbound I-576 to southbound I-79. The rest of the ramps were expected to open in spring/summer 2022.
