Professor Githu Muigai resigns as attorney general

Prof. Githu Muigai resigned this afternoon as Attorney General, and president Uhuru Kenyatta has named court of appeal president, Justice Kihara Kariuki, as his replacement. The president announced this, among others, that will also see former solicitor general, Njee Muturi, move to State House as deputy chief of staff, with the president’s lawyer, Ken Ogeto, nominated as his replacement.
