Austin Shuffield, the bartender accused of beating a woman in Deep Ellum, bonds out of jail

Austin Shuffield was booked into the Dallas County Jail about 8:15 a.m. Friday on an unlicensed-weapon charge, one of four misdemeanors he faces, along with assault, interfering with an emergency call and public intoxication. Hours later, he was free on $1,000 bail, in addition to the $2,000 bond he originally posted. Wearing shorts and a Texas Longhorns sweatshirt, he had shaved the beard from his first mugshot.
