Checking for an Internal Vacuum Leak

Checking for an Internal Vacuum Leak

Place a vacuum gauge on the dipstick tube, plug up the PCV system, start the engine and observe the gauge. If you see vacuum, there is a leak from the manifold to the crankcase. If you see pressure, there are no leaks and the air in the crankcase is expanding due to heat. Check out my other video on "How to Smoke Out a Vacuum Leak".
