This video is part of a complete no commentary walkthrough of the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 campaign. This is a classic real-time strategy game that captures that iconic grimdark Warhammer 40K atmosphere. The story follows Captain Gabriel Angelos and the Blood Ravens Space Marines as they defend the sub-sector Aurelia from Ork invasions, Eldar incursions, and the insidious Tyranid threat. You command elite Space Marine squads including Tactical, Devastator, and Assault Marine squads, coordinating with hero units like Sergeant Tarkus, Avitus and Thaddeus. The setting will feel familiar to fans of tactical strategy games like Company of Heroes, and of course the broader Warhammer 40,000 universe. This series will guide you from the very beginning of Dawn of War 2, providing a walkthrough of each campaign mission. I'll demonstrate different squad loadouts and tactical approaches, and while I won't pursue every optional objective, you'll get a comprehensive overview of the RPG-like progression system and combat mechanics. This was a bold departure from traditional RTS games, focusing on small-scale tactical combat rather than base-building, and a true gem for fans of the franchise. I'm hoping to cover the expansions (Chaos Rising and Retribution) soon.
