Low Country Pow Wow and Cultural Festival' held in Hardeeville

Over the weekend in Hardeeville was the annual "Low Country Pow Wow and Cultural Festival."  More than 60 dancers performed for guests of the family friendly event. There was also arts and crafts, demonstrations, story telling and native food.  The event is a way for the Native American population here in our area to teach everyone about their history and culture.  "You get to experience things that you don't see every day and, you know, the people, the native people are so friendly and welcoming," said Mike Benton, Coordinator. "It's just a good event to be at." This is the 17th year the Pow Wow has been held in Hardeeville. Copyright 2017 WTOC. All rights reserved.
