Iain Duncan Smith has said NHS England needs "rocket boosters" to continue the coronavirus vaccination rollout. Speaking to talkRADIO's Julia Hartley Brewer, he said: "It's for NHS England and their bureaucracy to deliver this. "They have to literally put rocket boosters into new centres and clinicians involved in those, organising at the local level so that the oldest people can get to those centres and on a much bigger scale." The former leader of the Conservative Party dismissed the suggestion vaccinations should be available round the clock, adding the focus should be to open more vaccination centres. "This is a war. The Prime Minister has said to NHS England he wants all those vulnerable groups to have received those jabs by mid-February. He's right to have set that target."
