How to Replace Newer Whirlpool Top Load Washer Lid Lock and Fix Lid Striker Issue (W11307244)

If you have a Whirlpool-style top load washer and bought a new lid lock for it, chances are it doesn't install the same way many videos describe - there are no screws to take out or put in. Even worse, if you figure out how to install the lock correctly, the striker may not go down into the new latch, preventing the machine from running at all.
