This ranking is not my opinion; it's from RateYourMusic and was chosen by the users of the site. The only subjective part is the personal favourites. The Post-Rock genre is not included in either primary or secondary genres due to its placement being redundant, but keep in mind that all of these songs were marked as post-rock and other related genres by RYM users. This isn't the case if there are no other primary genres. According to RYM, Post-Rock is a subgenre of Rock that contains "Emphasis on timbre, texture, and atmosphere over traditional conventions while often embracing influences from genres not usually associated with rock".
