ABAS Seasonal Bonsai Series Session 16 december 2025 Maple Winter Care

American Bonsai Association Sacramento presents another episode in the continuing Seasonal Bonsai Series. This episodes shows early winter work on the four trident maples in our series. Deciduous trees have a winter dormancy period; this is the opportunity to assess their development and make small pruning decisions. This winter work helps our trees grow properly and develop limb size and ramification in the spring. This becomes a beautiful silhouette and thick canopy next summer. Bonsai development is a series of small steps that ultimately improve your trees.
