Sit with your fear. Go fishing with it. Chill with it for a while in simple silence. See what you catch. Trust what you catch. Ask it questions like you ask a recipe from a friend. Learn the ingredients. Understand that learning from what we fear most leads us to inner calm. Every morning I sit and reflect and write down things I’m grateful for. Then I write my fears, worries, anxieties and anything I’m feeling challenged by. I let it all express however it wants to on paper. Then I ask questions and dig deeper. I go fishing. What are you afraid of? I think it's a healthy bi-monthly contemplation. Knowing what we fear, and wiggling in to learn more from it, is to build a stepladder out of the very thing we thought was holding us back.
