NHC monitoring system in southwestern Caribbean Sea, could become tropical depression this weekend

There is an area of disturbed weather in the southwestern Caribbean that could develop into a low-pressure system over the next few days. The National Hurricane Center says a tropical depression could form as early as this weekend or early next week as this system meanders over the southwestern Caribbean Sea. Right now, the NHC is giving it a 30 percent chance of development over the next two days and a 70 percent chance of development over the next five days.
