Southern Momentum Begins Informational Meetings

Employees who make up the Southern Momentum movement say they have one mission - to educate their fellow coworkers on how drastically different their jobs could be if Volkswagen joins the United Auto Workers union. Next week, 1,500 employees will vote on whether or not VW will remain non-union. The Southern Momentum group is using the remaining time to educate as many of their coworkers as possible. In addition to schedule changes, potential pay and benefit changes, and operations... employees fear a third party will compromise workplace communication. VW employee Sean Moss said, It's a third voice in the room when we only need two. It cuts down on communication. It's a buffer. We can say one thing, management hears something else depending on how it affects the middle man. Mike Jarvis said, Nobody is going to fight for Mike Jarvis like Mike Jarvis. Mike Jarvis is going to fight for his family and that's the guys on the line. So we can handle our own issues.
