Those accustomed to such situations often believe their misdeeds will be forgotten without anyone knowing, and they busy themselves with fabricating falsehoods to hide the truth. However, even for hypocrites, God’s judgment falls according to the truth. 1. The Accuser Behind the Mask Human discernment is severely distorted; rather than realizing God’s kindness in patiently waiting, people take His grace for granted. They are quick to rush in and ruthlessly criticize the faults of others, yet they devise evil while believing they can deceive even God. The groundless optimism that "God is good, so He will not send me to hell" is nothing more than a dangerous calculation stemming from a fallen nature. 2. Increased Punishment for Hypocrisy God’s judgment is executed solely based on the truth. God confronts us with the reality of everything we have done, including every dark corner we have tried to ignore. When the strict standard we used to condemn others returns as a verdict against ourselves, we finally realize the truth: those who judge others while considering themselves righteous are not only judged for their actions but will also face a greater judgment because of their hypocrisy. 3. Confession: The Path to Escape Judgment If those who violated the law given through Moses could not escape punishment, how can we escape if we ignore this even greater salvation through the Son of God? No one can escape God's judgment. The only way to live is to flee into the embrace of Jesus Christ, who drank the cup of judgment in our place. Sincere repentance—exposing ourselves to God’s sincerity and being cleansed by the Holy Spirit—is our only hope to be rescued from the judgment seat into eternal life.
