As business owners, we’ve all been there... an employee walks in in the morning and their negative energy sucks ALL the positivity out of the room. I have always prioritized positivity - not fake, not toxic, not BS positivity - but TRUE positivity in the workplace, which starts with a good work culture and great environment. As a landscape company, there are special challenges to maintaining morale because most of our employees work off-site. In this video, I talk about how negativity can be detrimental to efficiency (which hurts the client, the business, and any other employees around them). Then I talk about how one negative employee can actually bring down your “shining stars.” When you’ve got great people, you can’t let that happen - it’s not fair to them. Finally, I go over a company’s mission and values (and tell you ours) - well, negative attitudes and people who don’t stand for the values will always keep you from being successful.
