So here is a song by the great Henry Mancini is from the original soundtrack to the classic 1962 Blake Edwards film "Days of Wine and Roses." Featuring Jack Lemmon, Lee Remick, Charles Bickford and Jack Klugman, the film depicts the downward spiral of two average Americans who succumb to alcoholism and attempt to deal with their problems. It received an Academy Award for its theme song, which, like most of the soundtrack, was composed by Henry Mancini with lyrics by Johnny Mercer.
