MASS FOR THE TWENTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME AT THE BORDER TOWN PARISHES (SEPTEMBER 7, 2025) Fr. Pete Jankowski offers this Liturgy on location at St. Patrick's Church (St. Momence, IL) on behalf of the parishioners of St. Patrick's Church (Momence) and the National Shrine of St. Anne (St. Anne) who are not able to attend services. Everyone is invited to our indoor liturgies at the border town parishes (we have plenty of room)! This week, Fr. Pete's homily begins with a discussion of his dinner conversation with Bill & Mary Davey, who travelled from Whittlesea, Australia (near Melbourne) to talk about how these Online Masses sustained Mary during her trials with the pandemic. Mary and Bill speak about how different and wonderful the three communities were that they visited at our Sunday Masses - how St. Anne's Church embraces their love of the shrine, how St. Patrick's English Mass offered a wonderful hospitality and how St. Patrick's very lively Spanish Mass was the first of its kind that Mary & Bill attended. When we move forward, when we allow the next generation to invest themselves in our communities, such great things happen!!! To view Fr. Pete’s twelve-part series “Stories on the Journey” (from Shalom World TV) or to purchase Fr. Pete’s homily series of the same name, feel free to visit www.stpatrickmomence.org.
