The city of Napoli has always been protecting its roots and tradition as part of our cultural heritage but nowadays this tradition has become food for the unbridled tourism and has lost his sense of humbleness and simplicity that was at everyone's reach. The price of a pizza, for example, in the historical center has been doubled , if not tripled! making it impossible for local people to keep living by their usual standards and so it happened for the house prices. The disparity between the middle/poor class and the higher class has been exacerbated so much in the last few years pushing students, workers and most importantly locals with their families, to live in a very precarious way with high rent and awful contract terms (when there is one!), in this way they are relegated to live outside the cities or worse... on the street. All this is merely happening to satisfy the hunger and greediness of few privates, landlords and business owners . This is unsustainable, unjust and unjustified.. especially after the pandemic crisis, it is unhuman to keep empty so many houses intended for some hypothetical B&B businesses while there are still entire families living on the streets.. Our appeal is to restore the basic principles of humanity, to stimulate and pursue the connection among us to create better life conditions that can be truly useful to the world's evolution as a whole.
