Mexico confirms extradition of Joaquín Guzman to US

The notorious Mexican drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzman has been extradited to the United States. Guzman infamously headed one of the world’s most powerful drug organizations, the Cártel de Sinaloa. He is being transported from Mexico to New York, where he will reportedly face the district court in Brooklyn.
