#371 Tekken 4 PS2 \\ Steve, Nina, Christie - Story Battle play-throughs! (Statue stage unlock!)

Starting over on unlocking characters in Tekken 4's "Story Battle" mode--'cause I accidentally unlocked Combot by beating Violet/Lee's story before, and I don't want Combot popping up in my eventual random 8-on-8 Team Battles! : P Did Steve Fox, Nina Williams, and Christie Monteiro's stories this time; Steve because I read on GameFAQs that his story unlocks a level, "Statues," Nina because Steve's story heavily involved her, and unlocked her, and Christie because I wanted to know what the deal with Eddy was! Christie's is maybe kind of messed up though because in the JP version, it unlocks Eddy Gordo, her teacher who mysteriously ran off, as an alternate skin for her--but not in the US version! :P (It's funny too how the game forces her into her silver legging costume for the last fight, because her ending cinematic picks up there right after the fight, and renders her in that costume. ; ) 0:00 - Options 1:53 - Story Battle w/ Steve 24:39 - Practice - unlocked Statues stage 32:49 - Story Battle w/ Nina 56:45 - Story Battle w/ Christie 1:23:34 - considering characters 1:32:52 - Theater - Prologues 1:46:50 - wrap-up & what's next! So Steve unlocks Nina, and Nina unlocks Lei. The statue in the unlocked "Statues" stage is "Laocoön and His Sons," a Hellenistic baroque sculpture probably made between 27 BC and 68 AD, "showing the Trojan priest Laocoön and his sons Antiphantes and Thymbraeus being attacked by sea serpents": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laoco%C... There's a gold scorpion logo with "JACKLLR" printed on it on the stage's glass doors. Two versions of the stage unlock, although the only difference I could find was in their music track. Tomasio Rubinshtein pointed out in the comments that one of the tracks is Jack-2's theme from Tekken 2. I thought I would have a harder time with Christie but after a bit of a middle hump it went not too badly. Same kinda with Steve, even though he's got the weirdest control; and Nina was surprisingly effective--in my dumb hands--for a more finess-type character, so hooray! : D 1/28/21
