We consider an equation for the temperature gradient. The pressure of a star consists of the gas pressure and the radiation pressure. When the radiation pressure becomes too strong, a star cannot maintain an equilibrium structure and loses gas from the surface as stellar wind. We estimate the largest luminosity of a star and call it the Eddington luminosity after Eddington. #Astrophysics #Physics #Star #Structure #Evolution #Equilibrium #Eddington #Luminosity #Science Science Lectures: / @sciencelectures864
