Dayton Children's Hospital Has New Autism Cent

DAYTON -- April is National Autism Awareness Month...and Dayton Children's Hospital just announced a new Autism Diagnostic Center. The center is being built because of the growing need for a faster diagnosis of children with Autism, so doctors can come up with treatment plans. "If we can intervene in children who have developmental disabilities including autism, it can make huge changes that can last their entire lifetime, Craig Boreman, Medical Director for the Autism Diagnostic Center at Dayton Children's, said. "But we have to get in there early, before age 3 is the best age." Autism is now diagnosed in one in every 68 children.
