It's no secret that Donald Trump's mental health has been deteriorating right before our eyes for the last several months at this point. Uh, and his physical health as well, right? We've seen the slurring, which of course is a physical thing. We've seen the rambling, which is a psychological thing. Uh, all of it put together is very bad, but more importantly, it's the incoherence and the anger and the conspiracy theories and the outright verifiable lies that the man is telling that give us the biggest picture of how bad his mental health really is. And in recent interviews with a reporter from The Guardian, several analysts here in the United States believe that Donald Trump might be headed for a massive mental breakdown before the election even happens. Here is what American University history Professor Allen Lichtman said. He's definitely more undisciplined, unhinged, and deranged. He's always had these tendencies, but as he's gotten older, they've become much greater. The Hannibal Lecter stuff, or the shark versus electrocution stuff is just insane, just crazy and should be discussed on that basis, which by the way, is what I've been saying for months now. But it's a big mistake just to talk about Trump being unhinged or insane. You've gotta talk about how also, uh, dangerous and retrograde, what he's saying is we also ought to stress the extreme racism and misogyny, which yes, we do. We have. But here's the thing. Lichtman is saying the exact same thing I've been saying, right? You can't just say like, ah, he is unhinged. Oh, this is deranged. You have to talk about it as if they were symptoms. And that's what he's pointing out here. We have to include it in that context. We can't just say, ah, he, he's off his rocker again today saying crazy things. No, we have to look at them as, as symptoms and analyze them as such. Elaine Kmar from the Brookings Institute told the guardian quote, he has definitely lost a step, as they say, he is less coherent than he was certainly four years ago. He reminds you of a sixth grade boy having to read something out loud in front of the class who's generally off that he's there and not on the soccer field. Of course, I guess in Trump's case it would be the golf course. Then you had former Republican and noted Trump critics, uh, Tara Meyer, who warned quote, we're being tested and our democracy is on the line. Because what Donald Trump is saying is not just crazy bat crap, it's dangerous, it's authoritarian, it's anti-democratic. It's the ideology of hostility towards others In Trump's mind, we're not all equal. And American voters need to make a decision about the type of country they wanna live in and what kind of future they wanna leave for their children. But again, it all comes back to the big point that the Guardian gets to these individuals and several others are predicting a big meltdown coming Soon, which is saying a lot because we see meltdowns from Trump several times a week. So what is a bigger meltdown gonna look like? What's gonna trigger it? You know, when is he finally gonna hit that point where he just snaps and the media can't ignore it anymore? That's what they're talking about here. The media has done a phenomenal job, by the way of saying washing Donald Trump. And I love that phrase, you know, oh, well, this is what he meant to say. Oh, well he's actually trying to get at this. Instead of, of course saying, wow, this man needs to be in an institution. But eventually, probably before the election, Trump will hit a point with that upcoming mental breakdown that these people are predicting where the media cannot ignore it, where the media cannot even attempt to say and wash it. And at that point, hopefully the rest of the public wakes up and understands how dangerously crazy this man really is.
