Episode 12 - Reversing Falls Trip

The St John River is guarded by a spectacular rapid that changes direction as the tide goes in and out. Caused partially by the world's largest tides in the Bay of Fundy, and partially by the volume of river water bottlenecked by a rocky gorge, this Reversing Falls Rapid makes going to and from the harbour... interesting. Impassible at most times, four times a day the river level meets the sea level and it goes smooth and calm. I've included a little peak at the "uptown" area, the city center - a "little Halifax" which is growing and vibrant - which is easily accessed when entering Saint John's harbour, before heading up to enjoy our magnificent river!
