New NC poll on Trump's approval rating and Senate race

North Carolinians' views of President Donald Trump have soured more than a month into the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran. That's according to a new survey from Catawba College. Most who responded say it was wrong for the U.S. to attack Iran and a strong majority oppose sending troops to the region. The president registered the lowest approval rating in a Catawba survey since last March at 42%, and his highest disapproval at 55%. The survey also finds former Governor Roy Cooper leads Republican Michael Whatley in early numbers for the U.S. Senate race. Dr. Michael Bitzer, a professor of politics and history at Catawba College and Director for North Carolina Politics and Public Service, joins Eugene Daniel on LIVE Impact News to discuss the poll's findings.
