With its power advantage and all-wheel drive, the GR Corolla should dispatch the Golf GTI quite easily, but history has shown Wolfsburg knows a thing or two about straight-line sprints. Because the weather caused the track to be wet, the Golf struggled. To ensure fairness, there is also an in-gear rolling race starting from 30 kph.
