New to Dragon Quest - 2018 Guide on Where to Begin

This video is about 20 minutes long giving you all the details on which games in the Dragon Quest series you should start with if you're brand new to the series. Recap: Dragon Quest IV, V, VIII, and XI are all great as they don't feature classes and have deep storyline so they're relatively easy to jump into. Dragon Quest III, VI, VII, IX, and X all feature a class system of some sort so are a bit longer, and slightly deeper in terms of gameplay. I should also point out that X is only available in Japanese and is an MMORPG with a monthly sub attached to it. Dragon Quest I and II are extremely dated. Fun, but don't expect very much from them.
