The twentieth FrightFest comes to a close, and as usual the final day is a packed one. Thankfully Luna Wolf is here to walk us through the highlights. DRIVEN is a smart, snappy thriller about a cab driver whose passenger has one night to break an ancient curse, from the indie filmmaking team Glenn Payne and Casey Dillard. BLOOD & FLESH: THE REEL LIFE & GHASTLY DEATH OF AL ADAMSON is the new documentary about the infamous schlockmeister, directed by David Gregory and produced by Heather Buckley. The new film from directors of FrightFest classic DEADHEADS, THE WRETCHED is an anarchic zombie adventure from sibling directing team Brett Pierce and Drew T. Pierce. Abigail Blackmore brings us her first feature TALES FROM THE LODGE, a darkly silly anthology with an all-star comedy cast, including Mackenzie Crook. A GOOD WOMAN IS HARD TO FIND is a gripping thriller from Abner Pastoll, the director of ROAD GAMES, starring Sarah Bolger. Frankie Muniz stars in THE BLACK STRING, a complex psychological thriller from director Brian Hanson and Richard Handley. THE PERISHED is the film film of regular FrightFest goer Paddy Murphy, and stars Courtney McKeon as a shamed woman in Ireland doomed to mother lost spirits. New British anthology film FOR WE ARE MANY includes among its directors Laurie Brewster and Brad Watson, and among its stars Nicholas Vince. The Soska Sisters, Jen and Sylvia, return to FrightFest after their AMERICAN MARY seven years ago to bring us their reimagining of David Cronenberg's RABID. And that's it for another year, so our FrightFest fathers Alan Jones, Greg Day, Paul McEvoy, and Ian Rattray wish us farewell.
