Event: 3BallsRacing Grattan event - July 17th, 2016 Driver: Jake Robb (me!). This is my second HPDE, and my second time driving at Grattan -- the first time was an autocross where we ran only about 2/3 of the track. My last HPDE was at Gingerman Raceway, and I gave the stock brakes a thorough punishment there. This time I have a Baer big brake kit, but as you can see I'm taking it pretty easy on the brakes. This was my first session. Car: 2002 Camaro Z28 6-speed manual trans built by SixSpeedsInc with Pro 5.0 shifter & short stick ACT forged steel flywheel + McLeod RST twin-disc clutch Airbox lid, K&N (in need of cleaning), Corsa cat-back exhaust 3-point subframe connectors; strut tower brace Baer 13" Pro Plus front brakes w/ Hawk HP+ pads; stock rear brakes with EBC Redstuff pads; Motul RBF600 DOT4 brake fluid; stainless steel brake lines. This is the first time on track with the Baer upgrade. 17x9" WS6 wheels w/ 275/40 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires -- tread barely worn All shocks, springs, control arms, and bushings are stock Rear seat back, buckets, and belts removed for weight savings (spare tire and jack left in place because the back is too light already) Datalogger, Video, Production: iPhone 6 Plus running TrackAddict Pro paired with GoPoint BT1 Audio: the iPhone, on a RAM suction cup mount by the rearview mirror Main video feed: GoPro Hero 4 Silver mounted on a Veho MUVI triple-suction-cup mount at the top of the windshield. Inset video feed: GoPro HD Hero mounted to the inside of the hatch glass on a GoPro single-cup mount Video created using RaceRender Ultimate Edition by HPTuners. Notes: The Cayman ahead of me at the start is my wife's cousin, Brad. Check out his video here: • Cayman GTS, Grattan Raceway, HPDE I bailed before the end of the session due to an ABS INOP light. I believe this is caused by high temperatures at the wheel speed sensor. The extra lap around the pit was in lieu of a proper cool-down lap. The audio changes a couple times -- that's because the iPhone provides the best quality source, but it wasn't recording the whole time. The audio at the beginning and the end comes from the GoPro mounted inside the rear glass. At 7:25, I put a wheel off. It jerked the car, and I thought I was going to spin. You can hear me yelp a little. 😳
