🐢🐇 The Tortoise and the Hare – Full Story (English version) Once upon a time in a quiet forest lived many animals. Among them were a hare who was very proud of how fast he could run, and a tortoise, who moved slowly but was calm and gentle. The hare often bragged to the other animals: “I am the fastest in the forest! No one can beat me!” The tortoise slowly looked at him and said, “Perhaps you are fast, my friend, but I believe I can beat you in a race.” The hare burst into laughter. “You? Beat ME? Impossible!” But the animals were curious and gathered around. So the hare accepted the challenge. The next morning, they all came to watch. A fox volunteered to be the judge. “Ready… set… go!” the fox shouted. The hare sprinted forward like the wind and quickly left the tortoise far behind. After a short while, he looked back and saw no one. “I’m so far ahead. I can rest for a moment,” he thought. He lay down under a shady tree beside the road and fell asleep. Meanwhile, the tortoise kept walking slowly and steadily. Step by step, he moved forward without stopping to rest or look back. Hours passed, and eventually he came to the place where the hare was sleeping. The tortoise quietly walked past him and continued toward the finish line. Finally, the hare woke up. He stretched and yawned, then looked down the road. To his shock, he saw the tortoise almost at the finish line! The hare panicked and ran as fast as he could, but it was too late. The tortoise crossed the finish line first. All the animals cheered loudly. The hare hung his head in shame, while the tortoise said gently: “Slow and steady wins the race.” ✨ Moral of the story Don’t be arrogant.
