If you want to learn excel from the beginning, this playlist is just for you: • Basic Excel Tutorial So, without further delay lets learn what we have on page layout tab on excel ribbon. Page layout tab mainly used for printing option. You’ll find several menu groups here. Such as; Themes, Page Setup, Scale to Fit, Sheet Options, Arrange. *Themes: * Themes consists of colors, fonts and Effects. Your fill and chart color also depends on theme. Heading and body font also depends on themes. From the theme option you’ll be able to select different themes, or import themes or save a custom theme. To customize your themes you need to change the fonts, effects and colors. *Page Setup: * Here you’ll find, Margins, Orientation, Size, Print Area, Breaks, Background and Print Titles. i. Margins: Margins consists for Normal, Wide, Narrow and Custom Margins option. From here you’ll be able to setup your print margins. This will ensure your printing area. ii. Orientation: You can change the page orientation based on your printing settings. You can change it to either Portrait or Landscape. iii. Size: You can set page size from here. It will help you determining your printing page size. You can set your page at different size. They are as follows; Letter, Tabloid, Ledger, Legal, A4, A3 and More. iv. Print Area: If you want only specific part of worksheet to be printed, you can set that print area from this feature. Here you’ll be able to Set Print Area and Clear Print Area. v. Breaks: If you want to break your page; meaning if you want to move some of your data to the next page in printing, you can do that by inserting page breaks. In this feature you’ll be able to Insert Page Break, Remove Page Break and Reset All Page Breaks. vi. Background: If you want to insert a background image in your workbook, you can do that. vii. Print Titles: This means you’ll be able to print table header or titles in every page. *Scale to Fit: * If you have data that doesn’t fit in specific page but you need to print it within specific page, you’ll be able to do it from this option. From here you can do that by specifying the Width, Height or using the Scale to fit option. *Sheet Options: * From here you’ll able to specify if you want to display Gridlines and Headings in your worksheet view or print view. *Arrange: * This is used to arrange shapes, charts or objects in excel. You’ll be able to Bring Forward, Bring to Front, Send Backward, Send to Back any shapes. You can also select multiple objects from Selection Pane. If you want you can align your shapes by using Align Left, Align Center, Align Right, Align Top, Align Middle, Align Bottom, Distribute Horizontally and Distribute Vertically. You can also use Snap to Grid, Snap to Shape, View Gridlines. You can also Group, Re-Group, Un-Group shapes from here. Rotation is also available here. You can Rotate Right 90 °, Rotate Left 90 °, Flip Vertical, Flip Horizontal and More Rotation Options. These were the commands and menu groups you’ll find in the page layout tab. Hope you understand.
